Apply and Auditions

Prelude is open to string and piano students ages 8-13.

Admission – Applications open in early winter and close on April 1st. We must receive ALL parts of your application before it is reviewed, including your application form, application fee (if applicable), online audition video, music teacher recommendation form, AND tuition discount form (if applicable). 

Waiting List Protocol – Students are placed on a waiting list when we are still waiting for instrumentation and experience level from other applicants to make good groups. Students will be notified of their wait list status, and will be kept apprised when their status changes.

Welcome, New Camper Applicants!

Please submit the following to be considered for Prelude. We must receive all three parts before the application is complete and able to be reviewed.

1. Online Application with Application Fee and Tuition Discount Form (if applicable)
2. Music Teacher Recommendation Form
3. Online Audition Video – please see below for instructions.

Welcome, Returning Camper Registers!

Returning campers are given priority until January 1st.

1. Online Application with Application Fee (required if registering AFTER Jan 1st), and Tuition Discount Form (if applicable)
2. Music Teacher Recommendation Form
3. Current Online Audition Video (please send by April 15th directly to the Director of Music) – please see below for instructions.

Auditions

The online audition video is used to determine group placements and assign repertoire.

Audition Requirements:

1. Two contrasting pieces
2. 1 two or three octave scale

Your video should be 5-8 minutes long in total.

How to Send In Your Online Audition Video: Audition videos can either be attached to the online application or emailed to the Director of Music. Click on this link for directions on how to upload an unlisted video to Youtube.
