FAQ

Why can’t I access the application site?
The application site is available from December 15, 2019 until February 1, 2020 (11:59PM).
Please check back between those dates.

Is it possible to apply as both a performer and composer?
Yes. There is an extra space in the application form for dual applicants to include one additional
audition material. You only need to pay one application fee.

Can I include a chamber music piece in the audition materials if I am applying as an individual
performer? Yes.

Do ensembles have to pay the fee for each member or one time for the group?
One application fee per ensemble. However, if members of an ensemble want to be considered
for admission as an individual, separate from the ensemble, then they need to pay the fee.

Who should apply for an ensemble?
Each member of an ensemble must complete an application form. However, only one needs to
include the audition materials and referees. The others can leave these spaces blank.

Can I save my application as a draft and return to it?
Yes.

Can I upload mp3s of recordings?
No, please provide links to the recordings instead. This can be youtube, soundclound, bandcamp,
personal website, etc. Make sure that there is no password required to access.

Should I ask references to write a letter?
No, just contact information for three references. Referees will be contacted individually by
festival staff as needed.

Yes. There are vegan options at every meal. Additional food needs are accommodated on an
individual basis.

Can I apply if I am older than 35 or younger than 18?

[email protected]

Can I live off-campus?
No. This is a residency program that is structured around close living quarters.

Will I have my own room?
No. Housing is in shared bunk-bed cabins.

Is food provided on the weekends?
Yes. Three meals a day are provided for the length of the festival.

Is there time for hiking?
