Camp Activties: Waterfront, Arts and Crafts, Sports, Drama, Field Trips and More!
Waterfront
With 450 feet of lake frontage, Lake Dunmore beckons our campers. We offer canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and swimming on our waterfront. Certified lifeguards are always on duty watching over the swimmers and boaters. PCP even offers a sunrise swim across Lake Dunmore! And the water isn’t cold, really.
Arts and Crafts
Creative expression is definitely encouraged at Point CounterPoint. The N’Art (Nature + Art) Barn is a good place to let your creativity loose to make giant monsters out of cardboard, a white ash painting, gnome homes, interpretive art or something you decide to create from nature. We also offer all of the summer camp staples like friendship bracelets and tie-dye!
Sports
Favorite sports at camp include knock-out basketball, ping-pong, ultimate frisbee, newcomb, soccer, badminton, pick-up games and tournaments. We also have our PCP camp traditions like Olympics and CTF (aka Capture the Flag) and many of our field trips are hiking-related. Early morning runs/jogs and lake swims are offered.
Drama
Campers have numerous opportunities to be dramatic and are called in to action for campfires, evening improv games, and cabin inspection. At the end of every camp session, we have our traditional Cabaret, which is a PCP talent night. These imaginative skits are real camp traditions and provide laughter and memories.
Evening Activties
In addition to musical activities in the evenings, we also have many special all camp events that happen in the evenings such as campfires, manhunt, PCP Carnival, Pictionary, Medieval Malarkey, Cabaret, and more!
Field Trips
Each Wednesday (twice per session) we go on field trips to local places of interest in Vermont. From Falls of Lana across our own Lake Dunmore to the Zen Gardens in Hubbarton, strawberry picking, and many more hikes, we always have a great time exploring the nature around us!
