Music Teacher Testimonials
“He has been talking non-stop about his time at PCP. So many great things came together – wonderful musicians, compatible temperaments, eagerness to work hard, great coaching, fun cabin-mates, etc.
He loved being able to talk about interpretation right away, even as they were working out logistics. He loved working with coaches who went beyond standard issues of balance, intonation, and phrase shaping – the coaches suggested things that they weren’t sure would work in order to get at a higher order of interpretive insight. He loved that the others just wanted to rehearse any chance they had. He thought his piano teacher was great, and could work on really subtle technical points as well as get down to ideas about phrasing.
This experience was a real touchstone in his development as a musician. Thank you!”
“I saw my students today that had attended PCP and it’s clear that they had a fantastic time. I am very glad that things worked out so well. One student asked me why I hadn’t sent him there before – he really loved it and wants to come back next year although he will be 18. He hopes you make exceptions to the rule! Both students were just glowing with happiness. Thank you so much for giving them this opportunity.”
“Thank you so much for believing in him and for giving him so many opportunities at PCP. I really do think his first year at PCP completely changed his life and set him on a different track from the rest of his peers. So thank you very much. You are truly transforming lives at PCP.”
“I had the pleasure of teaching at PCP last summer. I coached several groups over a period of a few days, and therefore got a pretty good picture of the unique values of this fine camp. The standards are high, with helpful flexibility that allows for people of varying levels to work together in the same environment. The students are both talented and smart as well as highly motivated. The morale there is excellent with a comfortable balance of good structure, hard work, fine meals and that invaluable sense of freedom in both work and play. The faculty and administration of PCP are quite outstanding. My own grand daughter attended last summer and called it, “one the most special experiences of her life.”
