About the Campaign

Play It Forward: For the Love of PCP is the fundraising campaign of the Point CounterPoint Foundation. It is designed to transition Point CounterPoint from private ownership to permanent nonprofit stewardship.

This campaign focuses on securing the resources needed to purchase the camp property and buildings, establish an endowment, and ensure that the Foundation can operate the camp for the long term.

What the campaign will accomplish

Funds raised through Play It Forward will allow the Foundation to:

  • Purchase the Point CounterPoint property and buildings at fair market value, following an independent appraisal
  • Establish an endowment to support scholarships and long-term financial stability
  • Transition ownership and, once complete, operate the camp under nonprofit stewardship

Together, these steps ensure that Point CounterPoint remains a permanent home for chamber music education on Lake Dunmore.

Campaign scope and timeline

Play It Forward is structured as a long-term (3-5 years) campaign. This timeline allows the Foundation to secure major commitments thoughtfully, build broad community support, and complete the transition in a responsible and sustainable way.

Early phases of the campaign are focused on securing lead and leadership gifts that establish momentum and credibility for the effort.

How the transition will work

During the campaign period:

  • Jenny Beck continues to own and operate Point CounterPoint
  • The property and buildings will be independently appraised prior to purchase
  • All gifts are made to the Point CounterPoint Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

Once the purchase and endowment are complete, the Foundation will assume responsibility for owning and operating the camp.

Approximately $500,000 raised toward our $3.5 million goal (as of December, 2025)
