2011 Faculty Bios

David Lamse, violinist lives in Michigan and is the Asst. Principal Second of the Ann Arbor Symphony, the Asst. Concertmaster of the Jackson Symphony, and a member of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. David teaches at the Rudolf Steiner School, the Emerson School, St. Francis of Assisi, Ann Arbor School for the Performing Arts and the Clarkston Conservatory of Music. David earned two degrees (B.M., M.M.) in violin performance from Michigan State University. He attended Interlochen, Encore, and Meadowmount summer music festivals. This will be David’s 12 summer as violin faculty at PCP; he is also the Music Director of the PCP Adult Music Program.

Miho Zaitsu, cellist performs regularly at music festivals throughout the United States and Europe, including the Aspen Music Festival and School, Banff Arts Centre, Truls Mørk’s International Chamber Music Festival, and Schleswig Holstein Festival. Recent performances have included a tour of Japan and performances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie’s Weill Hall,Symphony Space, the United Nations, and Trinity Church. Miho earned a Bachelor of Music at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and spent one year abroad at the Royal Academy of Music (London). She continued her studies with Lynn Harrell at Rice University, earning a Masters of Music. Miho resides in NYC where she is a doctoral candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center, studying with Marcy Rosen. She has performed with the Paragon Orchestra and String Orchestra of New York City.

Arielle Levioff, pianist has appeared at New York’s Bargemusic in Brooklyn, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall, Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center. She has participated in major music festivals including the Tanglewood Institute, the Cleveland Orchestra’s Kent/Blossom Festival, and the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France. Ms. Levioff is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and is currently on the faculty of the 92nd Street Y School of Music. Recent engagements include her debut with the Astoria Symphony (NY) in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4, as well as a solo recital in Louisiana. Ms. Levioff was a camper at PCP from 1986-1988, and on faculty for the Adult Chamber Music program since its beginning.
